This is a red mandevilla flower. I keep clippings of these in a small pitcher on the kitchen counter for a pop of color. This was shot at ISO 800, f/2.8. 1/250 with a 100 mm macro.

Macro Moments Week 34 – Topic – Spring Has Sprung
We had an early spring this year. The trees started blooming in February. This was taken on February 19. For the technical info – I used a 100mm lens, ISO 1000, f5.6 and 1/160.
Macro Moments – Week 33
I participate a weekly themed group on Flickr. This week’s theme was Film Noir. Not sure if I hit the mark on this – but it was fun to try and come up with something for the theme. I shot this with the 7DII, 60mm macro at ISO 2500, f4, 1/60. I used a light tent. For editing – tried selective desaturating and other basic tweaks.
Macro Moments – Week 30
I took this photo on a recent trip to Florida – a pretty hibiscus in February. I used the 100 mm macro lens at ISO 100, f/5.6 and 1/250.

Macro Moments – Week 22
I participate in a Flickr group called Macro Mondays and posted this a week or so ago. It’s a Christmas cactus taken with a Lensbaby macro kit at ISO 1000 and 1/125. I used crumpled foil to create the backdrop and bounced a flash. If you are interested in participating in this challenge visit Musin with Susan
Macro Moments – Week 22 – A Rose in December
I couldn’t believe we had a rose blooming on December 10 when it was 30 degrees outside so I had to bring it in and get a photo of it. This is a Lensbaby macro. I am participating in a 100X challenge on Flickr this year and my “X” is “Photos with the Lensbaby”. This lens has a learning curve in that it is manual focus and you move the lens on a pivot to achieve the desired focus and blur. I used a light tent for this photo with an ISO of 400 at 1/160.
