Weekly Photo Challenge – Close up
My last post on this topic was macro photos. In addition to enjoying macro photography – I also like bringing subjects closer with a telephoto. Here are a few recent examples. The egrets were hatched at the Virginia Living Museum and if you would like more information – click this link

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – Walk 100 Steps and Take Foto
With all the snow and cold weather – I walked to the windows that opened to the back yard and took these pictures last week. We had a busy few days at the suet and seed feeders
Photos of Summer – Coming in for a Landing
In between taking pictures of the surfers in the family, I love watching the birds. The beach provides a lot of opportunity for taking pictures of birds either taking off, landing or in flight.
Red Beauty
I was dropping my grand daughter off at school and happened to have my camera with me. There is a marshy area next to the parking lot and I saw a red object in the reeds. When I got close enough – I realized it was this beautiful cardinal. I am always amazed by the beauty that is around us.
Colors Changing
The filled feeders are attracting the goldfinches. This one is in the process of changing. I just love all the color on him.
