We enjoyed a local beach yesterday and folks are allowed to walk their dogs until 10 am. Since we arrived at 730 am – there was plenty of 4 legged traffic to photograph.

I love taking pictures of dogs at the beach. The owner of this dog was having a great time and so was the dog. I have a fondness for black labs like this one because we used to have one. This dog acted as if it could do this game all day long.
Weekly Photo Challenge – Companionable
How do I look after my bath and brushing?? This is Rosie (or Rosebud – as I call her) – she can be skittish at times but she is as loyal and sweet as they come. She is part shepherd and something else. We adopted her from a kennel when she was 4 months and have had her 12 years. Her previous owners wanted her to be put down because they could not afford minor surgery on her paw. The vet did the surgery and kept her in the kennel. We lost our black lab to seizures around the same time and agreed to take her in. So glad we did.

I think I have posted a picture of one of these gentle creatures previously. I go by the farm regularly and if I have my camera and they are near the road, I pull over and take a picture. We live in the “burbs” so it’s great to see this open area with beauty on 4 legs.
Gentle Beauty
There is a farm that I drive by every day called the Gee-Haw farm. It is home to 5 mules. I love driving by there and seeing these beautiful animals. I enjoy photographing them throughout the year.

I prefer seeing these cute creatures UP in the trees as opposed to UP in the eaves of our house chewing the wood 🙂
