Here is my entry for the week – hydrangeas with a bonus bug. I used the 100 mm lens, hand held, ISO 100 f/9 and 1/160 second. This was taken in the morning so it was fairly bright outside.
This wasp was trying to get some nectar from the flower design in our bird bath. There were several of them that kept trying this. It was amusing to watch
I have never seen a bug like this with a triangle on it’s back. I have no idea on the ID – but thought it was quite interesting
This picture was taken in 2009 and got me hooked on close up and macro nature photography. It was truly by chance that it turned out half decent since I was still learning my camera. Now I chase these insects in my yard during the summer. The neighbors probably think I am nuts 🙂
