I live on the east coast of North Carolina and have been happily married for over 50 years. I have retired from a 52 year career in healthcare. I have always had an interest in photography. My first camera was a Brownie flash. I was able to seriously get back into this hobby, now obsession, in 2009. In 2012 – I embarked on a Project 365 and am happy to say that I successfully completed it . There were no limitations on the daily photo I took and discovered that I love macro. (it may have something to do with enjoying microscope work when I worked in the clinical laboratory years ago). I repeated the Project 365 in 2019 and learned that there is something to photograph daily if you look hard enough and I still love macro. Beach photography and anything nature are also favorites of mine. I enjoy looking at all the pictures that others are taking as well on this site as well as other sites. To keep things fresh and stretch me a bit, I participate in themed groups on Flickr.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and liking a post in the 2013 Tulip series. I have only seen a couple of your posts but liked both very much. I look forward to seeing more.
On another note, we have similar backgrounds. I am a pharmacist by degree and a passion for photography, which I now do professionally.
Please stop by my blog again soon!
Blessings, Robyn

Thanks for the likes on the RCC Photo blog. It means a lot to the students to have encouragement from someone other than their friends and family.
You are so welcome. They do great work.
I also live in coastal Virginia. Saw your comment on Momdeavor’s Thankful Thursday post. Nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you too. I am so ready for the warm weather !!!
Hi Nora, I like your landscape photography. I am (not yet) into macro, but may be your posts will give me the kick to do some more. Kind regards from the North of Germany, Reinhold
Hello Reinhold – thank you for your kind words. If you get into macro – I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do.
Some of your work is truly excellent, Nora.May I inquire what equipment you use, please?
Thank you so much for your kind comment. I shoot with a Canon 7D and 6D. I have several lenses that cover macro through telephoto, I have learned over the years that this “little” hobby of mine is quite expensive 🙂
Isn’t it ! But at least we don’t have to worry about having our photos developed any more!
So glad to connect via WordPress.
I have been following you for a while and got the chance to come to your about page. Congrats on 40 + years of marriage
💜 (my hubs and I are going on 23)
And wishing you a nice rest of 2019
You can delete this comment – but two typos in your about page
The word talking is there twice
And
love macro. (it may have something to do
I think the period after macro needs to go and just lead into parentheses
But so minor eh ?
Thanx!!
Love your story. I got a nicer camera last year and I’m having a blast learning and practicing! I can’t wait for our next road trip next summer 🙂 I just got a macro lens two weeks ago, so that is brand new to me. I’m going to go check out your photos now…
Thanx Lisa. I probably need to update it. I have always enjoyed taking photos ever since I was a kid. I got my first DSLR about 11 years ago and haven’t looked back. Photography has become my very expensive hobby!!
I have always love taking photos. Don’t know why I didn’t get a better quality camera sooner. Guess now was just the time. I’m loving it too!
I discoverd your interesting photography site via Tina Schell. It would be a pleasure to follow your work.
Kind regards,
Rudi
Beautiful website, great looking design, great content, and beautifull photos ! I will certainly continue to discover them, and at the same time it is my pleasure to follow your site !
Thanks Marc!
Nora, can you email me at anne.g.sandler@gmail.com? I’d like to talk with you about the possibility of guest hosting LAPC in July.
Done!!!
