Lens Artists #115 – Inspiration

This week Tina has asked us to share our thoughts and photos on what inspires us. There are so many things I can point to on this topic but for me it starts with Faith and Family.

If you would like to join in on this week’s challenge – you can find the information here – https://travelsandtrifles.wordpress.com/2020/09/19/lens-artists-challenge-115-inspiration/

Lens Artist Challenge 114 – Negative Space

I have been enjoying everyone’s photos while recovering from back surgery related to stenosis. For the first few days after surgery – I questioned having it done but I believe I am moving beyond that now. I still have some pain and limitations but hopefully both will be gone over the next 12 weeks. This week – Amy has encouraged us to share photos that depict negative space.

My first photo shows a pier with nothing around but water and the dramatic sky. I love seeing weather form on beaches.

The next photo is a dreamy capture of my granddaughter cresting a sand dune on one of the beaches in Hatteras, NC.

Next are flowers from our yard against a white background. The vase holding the flowers is near 100 years old and designed specifically for gladiola.

Last is a cormorant sitting on a post. This was taken on a previous trip to Florida. I’m pretty pleased with it since it was taken from a moving boat.

I hope everyone has a great week!!
