Lens Artist Challenge #109 – Under the Sun

The sun can produce many types of different looking photos from harsh to beautiful throughout the day. Here are a few examples:

The afternoon sun on this day provided glorious light on my daughter’s dog Bongo playing with his ball.

This was taken at midday which usually produces harsh light but also provided a nice reflection of this beach umbrella.

Late morning sun gave the ocean waves a beautiful green color.

Although we live in a fairly temperate climate, January – March can be very cold and we do get the occasional snow storm. In 2018 – we had a significant snow storm for this area with drifts up to 6 feet. This was taken midday as well. I like how the snow almost glistens in the bright sun. Gidget was not very fond of going out in this stuff since some areas covered her legs making walks difficult. She would definitely not fare well in colder climates 🙂

  1. Beautiful photographs Nora, I especially love the way Bongo’s fur catches the light as he splashes through the water 🧡
