Since my husband and I were travelling a lot this December – we decided to get a very small tree with a root ball so we can plant it and watch it grow. Who knows?? Maybe we can dig it up each Christmas and use it for our tree each year!!

A brilliant idea Nora, that’s exactly what we did, but I planted our sin a pot. It will need repotting every couple of years and a point will come where I need to move if with a sac-truck, but the idea works superbly for a patio tree at Christmas. I love how you captured yours with all that snow on it.

The unenlarged picture viewed from a distance made me believe I was seeing a stalagmite or some similar sort of flowstone rather than a snow-covered tree.
