One Four Challenge – Week 3

For this week – I decided to go with monotone for a beach photo. I did this a couple of days ago and unfortunately did not write down how I edited it. I’m pretty sure I used Silver Efex Pro.

My Dad was a musician for most of his life. As a young man – he played with the Sammy Kaye Orchestra in New York, then went on to form his own trio and wrote as well as published music. Today we would classify his music as lounge music. I am lucky to have his old 78 RPM demo discs to hear his music whenever I want.

Here is my edit for this week – I used the radial filter in LR to selectively desaturate the color surrounding the umbrellas. I was going for a “fading summer” feel in this edit.

One in Four Challenge – Week 1 September

This is my first time participating in this challenge. I was inspired by some of the edits I have seen from others. I choose this photo because I love the beach and those days are almost over for this year. For the edits – I cropped and used the basic panel in Lightroom to bring out color and clarity.
