This is what the Chesapeake Bay looked like yesterday afternoon after Hurricane Arthur. The bridge in the background is the Chesapeake Bay-Bridge Tunnel that connects our area to the Eastern Shore. It’s quite a structure and opened in 1964. My father-in-law worked on some of the underwater welding. In an unusual connection – my dad (who was a musician) had a band who played at the opening ceremony for the bridge tunnel. If you would like to see more history on this structure – here’s the link
