We live about 1 hour from the bridge that crosses to the Outer Banks of North Carolina – so we go there as often as possible especially in the warm weather. This lighthouse is a symbol of that area. The smaller picture gives you an idea of the view from the top. Of note, the lighthouse was moved back from the beach several years ago to protect it from the ravages of the ocean. We have these trees in our yard – they don’t last long – but they are gorgeous while they are here. Even the flowers that fall off the tree onto the ground have a certain beauty about them.
